The 2013 North Star Gold House Flag, recognising outstanding safety culture onboard one of the company's vessels, has been awarded to the The Grampian Defiance and her crews.
The IMT 950 emergency response and rescue vessel, which came into service in August 2012, received the award for its exceptional overall quantity and quality of safety correspondence, internal audit results, MCA audits and inspections.
The Masters onboard are James Ward and John Strachan and along with their crews were presented the Gold House Flag by North Star Shipping Managing Director, Callum Bruce and Senior QHSE Manager, Eddie Perkins.
Callum Bruce said:
“Once again the choice to select a winner has been difficult as the overall standards across the fleet are exceptionally high. There have been many examples of excellent safety work from all our vessels and everyone should be recognised for continually raising the bar”.
