Craig International supplies (CIS), a division of Craig Group, has re-branded its Cape Town operation from Craig Energy Services to CIS Pty in order to maintain and develop a united front in the world-wide procurement and supply industry. The oilfield procurement business is also set to open up a new base in Angola to meet demand in the West African market.
One of the leaders in oilfield procurement in the UKCS, CIS has year on year increased its international business and now generates an annual turnover of £40 million. It has the capability to supply a comprehensive range of products to the oil and gas industry worldwide.
International clients from around the globe will now be jointly marketed through the main offices in Aberdeen, Cape Town and Houston.
The South African arm of the CIS family, CIS Pty, has been in existence for 10 years and has operated extensively within South and West Africa.
The growth in West Africa has led to the decision to investigate setting up a base in Luanda - the Angolan capital - which would offer local content to operators in the region.
CIS Pty currently employs a team of five people who provide a comprehensive range of services to the African energy sector.
CIS can supply the entire range of products for all seismic, drilling, exploration, production and transportation operations in the oil and gas industry.
Houston based CIS Inc, is headed up by Country Manager Ken Pujats. The Houston operation provides central and North American coverage and has recently broken into the US domestic market with a contract to supply services to Chevron, the first ever order secured by the Houston base for a US domestic client.
Following a move to bigger premises earlier in the year, CIS Aberdeen, the third arm of the business, now has 15,000 square feet of warehouse and office accommodation on Denmore Industrial Estate.
Total investment in the new Bridge of Don premises was approximately £1.5 million, which included new state of the art communications infrastructure and a complete re-vamp and modernisation of office equipment and furniture.
